MZ Wallace

I conceptualized and developed several new styles and collections for MZ Wallace that drove revenue and excited consumers. My contribution to the brand helped to double sales between 2018 and 2019.

Crosby Collection

The Crosby collection was launched in 2017 as a response to customer requests for the lightweight, quilted Metro styles that the brand is known for, with external organization and polished detailing added. The Micro Crosby was a notable top seller— generating several millions in revenue in the first year of release. This style continue to be a top seller for the brand currently.

MZ WALLACE X BEEYECONIC SLING BAG

The BeEyeConic Sling bag was designed in partnership with NYC based stylist and influencer, Ashlee Muhammad. Taking a fashion forward style that allowed for a hand free experience combined with MZ Wallace brand queues created a sell out item. This piece sold out twice within hours of release. Proceeds supported the non-profit organization, #TakeCareofHarlem.

Bleecker Collection

The Bleecker Collection is MZ Wallace’s first full men’s collection. I visited the manufacturer to experiment with sampling trials — reviewing design solutions that would not only echo the brand DNA but also for optimal functionality and high quality.

MZ WALLACE X ALBERS FOUNDATION METRO TOTE

MZ Wallace partnered with the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation — timed along with the Bauhaus Centenary. Using the Bauhaus font originally created by Josef Albers, I proposed the Albers’ quotes used on the exterior of the Metro Tote and interior pouches. The colors used inside refer to Josef Albers’ famed ‘Homage to the Square’ series. Proceeds went towards Le Korsa, aa non-profit organization that offers grants to deserving institutions in Senegal.

METRO DRAWSTRING BUCKET

This style was developed in order to add newness to the Metro Collection offering, with added functionality of a front pocket, and a sportier look utilizing a draw cord closure and a wider, comfortable crossbody strap. This style debuted in one size and since then has been offered in a smaller shape.
